SETUP & BALANCING

Flushing out the accelerator injector with brake cleaner.

Accelerator injector and valve ready for refit. When refitting the venturis and pre-atomisers ensure the opening in the side faces the drilling in the carb body to the emulsion tube Also ensure the injector is central and not bent

One of the emulsion tubes going back in. Check all the drillings are clear before refitting.
Then screw in the air correction jets to hold the tubes in place

This tiny jet on the end of the screwdriver feeds the auxilary enrichment circuit. I had to modify the end of a screwdriver to get an exact fit as the jet was quite resistant to removal

Main jet and holder being refitted

Transition ports with cover plug removed. These ports bleed additional fuel into the venturi as they are gradually uncovered by the butterfly. If blocked these can cause hesitation on light throttle openings

What was left of my auxilary enrichment circuit... At this point I decided to do without and blank off the circuit.

Following drilling to an appropriate size I tapped out the auxiliary enrichment feeds to M5 for screws with thread lock to plug them

The main fitting for the auxiliary enrichment device can be tapped to M8 to suit this home brew M8 cap head with seal. Note the screw underneath in the feed pipe. Cap head would be neater, but I was running short!
